EVENTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Your booking has to be accompanied by the published event fee, your booking is not confirmed until we have received payment in full. You may lose your place to a paying member if you have not yet paid in full.
2. We at Life and Spirit take NO responsibility or liability for any accident or injuries that may occur on our investigations.
3. Some investigation sites will have their own terms and conditions which will be made clear to you before admittance. Non-compliance will lead to you being asked to leave and may involve prosecution under local by-laws.
4. We would recommend that individuals attending take out their own third party public liability insurance for accidents and injuries.
5. All personal property and effects belonging to you are your own responsibility. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or theft however caused.
6. Life and Spirit does not condone the consumption of alcohol or drugs prior to any investigation. This is strictly prohibited and anyone arriving at an investigation suspected of being inebriated or under the influence of non-prescribed drugs will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given.
7. As per new legislation, smokers are requested not to smoke inside any buildings used for the investigation; a designated place will be allocated, where possible, on the evening for smokers.
8. Please do not bring Candles or matches or any potential fire hazards to the investigation site.
9. Attempts will be made to accommodate any persons with a disability. Please email our investigation co-coordinator at admin@lifeandspirit.co.uk
10. The minimum age for any participants is 18 yrs old. We do not cater for hen or stag nights. However, single sex bookings for over 6 people can be arranged.
11. All attempts will be made to give accurate historical information about the venue. We take our research seriously and try to have up to date information about the venue at hand.
12. As these investigations will take place in historic venues, you must have full respect for the building, its contents and inhabitants (this includes animals and vegetation/flora). Anyone not complying with this will be asked to leave and no refund given.
13. Unless stated no sleeping facilities will be available on the night. We suggest you arrange accommodation and/or transport from the venue due to tiredness levels after an event.
14. If you cancel any booking within a seven (7) working day period of the booking we will issue a full refund less a 5% administration charge. Requests for a refund more than six (6) weeks before the event will be paid less a 20% cancellation charge. Requests for a refund between six (6) and four (4) weeks prior to the event will be paid less a 50% cancellation charge. No refunds will be given less than four (4) weeks prior to the event.
15. In the unlikely event that Life and Spirit or the venue has to cancel or postpone the investigation we will contact you to arrange a refund or a re-booking.
16. It is your responsibility to find the location and arrive on time; no refunds will be given for late arrivals or non-attendance. The start time for the event will not be delayed.
17. Please note we do not condone faking paranormal activity of any kind. Anybody found doing so will be asked to leave the venue.
18. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you further indemnify the organisers/promoters from and against all legal liability in respect of any costs, claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions, proceedings, suits, losses or expenses in respect of or arising out of the injury to or the death of any person, or damage to any property arising from the participation in the activity.
19. If there is any conflict between these terms and specific terms appearing elsewhere by reason of the laws and rules of any local area or country in which these terms are intended to be effective then the latter shall prevail.
